I was visting a friend’s blog this evening and she posted a photo of her freshly painted lobster buoys. This is the season when lobstermen and women bring out what has been stored over the winter. They inspect, repair and refurbish their equipment. As you drive the side roads you can see the results of their efforts. Freshly painted buoys are hanging on clothes lines and are piled neatly, or not, in the dooryard.
Each person registers their colors and patterns so everyone knows what belongs to which fisherperson. Over the years the color combinations have become more bold and more neon. I thought I would show you a few photos I have taken over the years. I love the promise of “what is to come” in all this fresh paint.
